Career Excavation Terms of Use

Effective October 26, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of Career Excavation, operated by Henry Jane LLC, a New York limited liability company ("we," "us" or "our"). By creating an account and accepting these terms, you agree to this agreement. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What the service provides

Career Excavation is a self-service, AI-powered career reflection tool. You provide career documents and answer guided questions, then receive a personalized report that you can read and download. No person conducts the interview or reviews your report before delivery.

The service does not provide coaching, therapy, recruiting or medical, mental health, legal, financial or professional employment advice. AI may misunderstand your information or produce inaccurate or incomplete content. Review the report critically and verify important information before acting. You remain responsible for your decisions. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, income or other career outcomes.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States to use Career Excavation. Use the service only for yourself and provide accurate account information. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and do not share your account. Notify hello@henryjane.co if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your information and report

You retain your rights in the documents, answers and other material you provide. You give us permission to process and store that material, including through service providers and AI processing, to deliver and support the service, protect its security and meet legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Provide only information you have the right to share. Do not upload material that violates an employer confidentiality agreement or another person’s rights. Do not enter unnecessary private information about other people. When describing personal constraints, state the practical limit (for example, “I can’t travel more than a few days a month”) without the reason behind it, and do not include diagnoses, treatment details, medical records or other health information about yourself or anyone else.

You may download, retain and share your report for your personal and career use. You may not sell it or represent it as a professional assessment performed by a person. These permissions do not authorize copying or commercial reuse of the underlying program.

4. Our intellectual property and permitted use

Henry Jane LLC owns or holds the applicable rights in the service, including its software, questions, methodology, prompts, report templates, design and product materials. We grant you a limited, personal, nontransferable permission to use the service for your own career reflection. All other rights are reserved.

You may not copy, publish or distribute the program or interview questions; use its materials to build or operate a competing service or assess other people for a fee; submit its questions, prompts or report templates to another AI tool to reproduce the service; scrape its content; attempt to extract nonpublic AI instructions; or remove copyright notices. Your permission to share your own report under section 3 remains in effect.

Do not attempt to access other users’ accounts or records or bypass security controls. Do not upload harmful files, overload the service or use it unlawfully.

5. Payment and refunds

The service is purchased for a one-time flat fee. The price, applicable taxes and what the purchase includes are shown before payment. Payment is processed through a third-party payment processor. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, except where required by applicable law. This policy does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived. Contact hello@henryjane.co about payment errors or service problems.

6. Availability and ending use

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, suspend or discontinue features. If we plan to close the service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you so you can download your report. Download and keep your own copy; purchasing the service does not guarantee indefinite storage.

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account and records yourself by choosing Delete my records from the account menu or you may request that we delete them as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your records ends your access to your report and does not entitle you to a refund. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, unlawful activity or security risks. Provisions concerning ownership, report permissions, payment, disclaimers, liability and disputes continue to apply where relevant after your use ends.

7. Disclaimer and limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement. We do not warrant that AI content will be accurate, complete or suitable for your circumstances.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Henry Jane LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost income, lost opportunities or losses arising from career decisions made in reliance on the service. Our total liability for claims connected with the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These exclusions and limits apply only where legally permitted. They do not exclude liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

8. Governing law and disputes

New York law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules and subject to any mandatory protections provided by applicable law. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or a notice on the service before they take effect. Changes apply prospectively. Where required, we will request renewed acceptance. The date above identifies this version.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law. These terms govern use of the service; the Privacy Policy governs our handling of personal information.
